Video Tele-Conference Events

  • The Ministry of Defence Brunei Darussalam, as the Chairmanship of ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) 2021 will assumed ADMM Retreat, ASEAN – ROK Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting, ASEAN – Australia Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting and Handover Ceremony ADMM Chairman 2021 To ADMM Chairman 2022 on the 10th of November 2021. 
  • In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic crisis and in compliance with the Government of Brunei Darussalam's emergency measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, all meetings will be conducted virtually without the physical presence of ASEAN Defence Ministers.
  • Meetings will be conducted behind closed doors and will only be limited to members of the committee.


Official Media Coverage

  • The meeting will not be broadcasted live, nor transmitted via recording.
  • Only Radio Television Brunei (RTB) and Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office will be invited to cover the events. 
  • Coverage of the meetings will be via restricted access. 
  • Media cards for access to these meetings will be distributed by the Media Sub-Committee staff prior to the actual day of the meetings. 
  • Media representatives must be properly attired (business wear) at the meeting events.

News Materials

  • The Public Relations Unit will be sharing press releases and photos to medias via email. 
  • Members of the press wishing to obtain materials (press release, photos, etc) can fill an online form and the Media Sub-Committee will transmit via email as soon as they are available. 
  • Press releases and photos will also be published on the ADMM, Ministry of Defence Brunei Darussalam official website https://admm.mindef.gov.bn.

FAQs

1. Can I have the exact schedule for the meeting, a list of attendees and details on media access?

  • Members of the press wishing to obtain materials (press release, photos, etc) can fill an online form and the Media Sub-Committee will transmit via email as soon as they are available. 

2. Is foreign media allowed to come over to Brunei for coverage? 

  • The event will only be covered by local government medias. However, members of the press wishing to obtain materials (press release, photos, etc) can fill an online form and the Media Sub-Committee will transmit via email as soon as they are available. 

3. Will all the meetings be held virtually or will there be any meetings held on site at the venue?

  • In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic crisis and in compliance with the Government of Brunei Darussalam's emergency measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, all meetings will be conducted virtually.

4. Will there be access for media to view and cover any kind of speeches or press conferences by key figures attending?

  • A media room will be available and will be restricted to registered media only.
  • There will be no press conferences for the events.
  • Members of the press wishing to obtain materials (press release, photos, etc) can fill an online form and the Media Sub-Committee will transmit via email as soon as they are available. 

5. Will there be any statements released / emailed to media after the meetings? How soon will they be released? 

  • The Public Relations Unit will be sharing press releases and photos to the medias via email as soon as they are available. 
  • Members of the press wishing to obtain materials (press release, photos, etc) can fill an online form and the Media Sub-Committee will transmit via email.

6. Do we need to register to access the photos and videos or for any press pass? 

  • Media representatives may view the Gallery of photos and videos through the ADMM 2021 website (https://admm.mindef.gov.bn). However, only invited media will be given the link to the high-resolution photos and videos.

7. Will there be any press briefing on that day or at the end of it? 

  • There will be no press briefings after the meetings.

8. Can we request for our agency to be included in Brunei ASEAN 2021 Media list?

  • Contact lists or emailing lists will be compiled by the Media Committee. However, it is highly encouraged for media representatives to register via the ADMM 2021 website in order to be provided with relevant links.

9. Is MINDEF providing an official Telegram or Whatsapp group to share out information regarding ASEAN Summit 2021?
